India should firmly tell the US that it need not instruct India what to do and what not ! |
Washington (US) – US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin expects India to curtail its dependence on Russian military equipment. Indirectly, he warned India that the purchase of military equipment from Russia will not be in the best interest of India. He was addressing the meeting concerning the annual defence budget of the US.
US Congressman Joe Wilson asked what US can possibly do so that Indian leaders reject Putin and align with the US in the defence sector.https://t.co/ELr0I4oR92

Austin further said that we are working with India. India knows that it is not in its interest to invest in Russia’s equipment. Our next demand is that India should downscale investment in Russian equipment. Invest in the areas that will maintain our relations.
