Injustice has been done to Kashmiri Hindus and we all should help them, says Kejriwal

If Kejriwal knew it, why didn’t he tell earlier, and why didn’t he declare what help he would be able to extend to Kashmiri Hindus ? |
New Delhi – Injustice has been done against Kashmiri Hindus and all of us together should help them, stated Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in an interview with a news channel. A few days ago, while addressing the Delhi Legislative Assembly, he had made an objectionable comment that whatever was shown in the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ was false. He was also laughing when he made such a comment. Now, when he is getting flak on his comment from all quarters, he is trying to clarify his stand. He has said that he was not laughing at Kashmiri Hindus, but he was laughing at BJP. BJP had demanded that ‘The Kashmir Files’ should be made tax-free in Delhi and Kejriwal had made the objectionable statement in its response.

Kejriwal said further that injustice was done against Kashmiri Hindus. It is a big tragedy. It has been 32 years since Kashmiri Hindus ran away from Kashmir. Any sensitive Government would have done justice to them. The Government should have tried to rehabilitate them. They should have been given land by forming a policy. The Kashmir Files is important for BJP, but for me, Kashmiri Hindus are more important. When Hindus shifted from Kashmir, then in 1993, 233 of them were taken as teachers on contract, and they had joined the Government. When our Government came to power, we have made them permanent teachers. The Congress Government ruled for so many years, but it did nothing for them. However, we have made their jobs permanent. We didn’t make a film about them.
