Russian troops told to end the war by 9th May : Claims Ukraine

Moscow (Russia) –The Armed Forces of Ukraine claim that the Russian troops are being told that the war must end by the 9th of May. The date is widely celebrated in Russia as the day of victory over Nazi Germany in World War Two.

Ukraine has accused that ‘Russia is taking thousands of Ukrainian civilians to Russia’. It is claimed that some of them may be used as ’hostages’ to pressure Kyiv to give up the war. Lyudmyla Denisova, Ukraine’s Ombudsperson, said 402,000 people, including 84,000 children, have been taken against their will to Russia. On the other hand, Russia says that these people themselves wanted to take refuge in Russia.
