Now the journey to Manasarovar does not have to pass through China or Nepal : Union Minister Nitin Gadkari 

The road will be constructed to reach Kailash Manasarovar straight from Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand

We had to wait 74 years after Independence for this to happen. It is shameful for the leaders who ruled the country all these years !

New Delhi – Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the Kailash Manasarovar pilgrimage will no longer have to pass through Nepal or China, but the road will be paved directly from Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand to Kailash Manasarovar. It will be completed by the year 2023, informed Union Roads and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari in the Lok Sabha.


Gadkari further said, The Ghatiyabaghad-Lipulekh route, which connects the Chinese border and is of military importance, will be completed in two years. Devotees going to Manasarovar, as well as public and security forces will be able to travel on this route. It used to take 4 days for troops to reach the border, but now they can reach the border in just 4 hours.
