Editorial comments

  • Condemn BBC news channel, which has never said a word against the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus ! Such anti-Hindu news channels should be banned in India !
  • More than 50 films were made depicting the genocide of Jews, but the international media had no objection; however, BBC cannot tolerate a film on Hindus’ genocide. It exhibits BBC’s Hindu-hatred !

New Delhi – An article has been published by Hindu-hater BBC news channel against the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ as the film throws light on the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus and shows true heart-rending historical facts. Under the heading of  The Kashmir Files : Vivek Agnihotri’s film exposes India’s new fault lines, writer Meryl Sebastian has tried to praise secularism by trying to lessen the intensity of Hindus’ persecution. It has also been stated that the Kashmiri Muslims are shown in a negative light.

1. There is no mention of the unique response received by the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ from millions of Indians. It has been said in the article that this film was getting huge support only because it is conforming with BJP and pro-Hindu organisations’ rightist ideology.

2. It has been subtly shown that the support extended to the film by BJP’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many of his ministers and leaders was wrong. The statement made by PM Modi of ‘criticism against this film was a conspiracy’ has also been criticised.

3. The appeal made by Smruti Irani, the Minister of Women and Child Development Department to see the film to avoid repetition of history hidden in the blood of innocent people, has also been condemned through this article.

4. On the other hand, a film titled ‘Shikara’, so-called throwing light on the persecution of Kashmiri Hindus has been praised. The writer has supported the soft stance taken by the co-writer Rahul Pundit who is a Kashmiri Hindu; while accusing ‘The Kashmir Files’ as more fanatic and of creating a rift in society.

5. The writer Meryl Sebastian has tried to show how the previous film made by Vivek Agnihotri titled ‘The Tashkent Files’ was also controversial.
