Hindus take out a 17 km long protest march to reopen Shri Devnarayan Temple in Bhilwara (Rajasthan), which is closed for the last 45 years

• Due to the Muslims’ claim over some part of the Temple, the case is pending in the Court.
• A few days ago, a Hindu youth had broken the Temple’s lock

If cases related to Hindu temples are pending in Courts for years, then how will people get justice ? Such a judiciary is not expected in a democracy.

Shri Devnarayan Temple at Bhilwara (Rajasthan) closed for the last 45 years

Bhilwara (Rajasthan) – Hindus have demanded that Shri Devnarayan Temple, which has been closed for the last 45 years, be reopened for worship. For this, a 17 km long march was taken out on 14^th March.  After which a memorandum was given to the administration.

The march was led by Sawaibhoj Mahant SureshDas, Mahant Deepakpuri of Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, Malaseri priest Hemraj Poswal and Devnarayan Sangharsh Samiti convener Udaylal Bhadana. Before the march, on 11th March, a youth named Gopal Singh Gurjar Bassi broke the locks of the temple. Thereafter, a case was registered against him.

What is the Temple case ?

Due to a land dispute in 1977, the Temple was closed by the Court. The matter is pending in Court. Police say that Muslims claim ownership of some part of the temple land. The matter is pending in Court.
