Centre asks States to end additional Covid-19 restrictions citing decline in Covid cases
New Delhi – The Centre has asked the States and Union Territories to relax the additional restrictions because of the decline in the number of Covid infected cases. Assam and Haryana have already withdrawn the additional restrictions.

The Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has sent a letter to the Chief Secretaries of the States saying, after the rise in the coronavirus cases, many States imposed additional restrictions on the border and air travel. It is essential to find solutions when the public is facing health problems; but care should be taken that the additional restrictions laid down by the States on entry at borders, should not obstruct travel and financial transactions.
