Taliban attempts instigating Indian sentiments, names its military unit as ‘Panipat’

New Delhi – With an attempt to instigate Indian sentiments, the Taliban has decided to name its military unit ‘Panipat’. In 1761, the third battle of Panipat was fought at the same place.

That time, the Maratha Army had to face defeat at the hands of the then Afghan ruler Ahmadshah Abdali. Hence, the Taliban is trying to instigate the Indian sentiments. The Panipat unit will be stationed at Nangarhar, which shares its border with Pakistan.
