Hindus and Sikhs feel the Central Government should now take the opportunity lost by Congress |
Pathankot (Punjab)- At the time of the partition of India in 1947, when the country was in the hands of Congress, they did not realise that Guru Nanak’s Tapobhoomi, which is only 6 km from the Punjab border, should be in India. Congress has sinned. They have crushed our emotions.

During the war of 1965, while the Indian Army was preparing to hoist the tricolour flag over Lahore, there was an opportunity to merge this land with India. At the time of the 1971 Bangladesh war; 90,000 Pakistani soldiers were in Indian custody. Pakistan had kneeled. At that time, the Congress Government should have said that we would release these soldiers in exchange for Guru Nanak’s Tapobhoomi. Thus, Congress lost 3 such opportunities, said the Prime Minister during the campaign for the Assembly elections.
