New Delhi – In eight States, Hindus are minorities however, they are not categorised as minorities by law. They do not receive any benefits for minorities.
A PIL is filed in the Supreme Court to avail such benefits to these Hindus by declaring them minorities. The Supreme Court has given the Central Government a final notice of four weeks to clarify the stand taken. Renowned lawyer Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay who always fights for the Hindu Dharma has filed the PIL.
