Some Muslim youth had gone to celebrate Christian New Year on 1st January to Kumbhakala which comes under the jurisdiction of Lundra Police Station. After having reached there, they had arguments with local young men. That time, young religious fanatics beat up the villagers. Police arrested 6 religious fanatics after registering a case against them. They were released later. Displeased villagers surrounded the Police Station alleging that the Police did not take action against the culprits using the strict clause (Section); hence, they were released on bail. The villagers took an oath, ‘We will not keep any relation with Muslims. We will not buy anything from their shops and will not sell our lands to them.’ That video is viral on social media.
