Protests by Muslims

Editorial comment

The Muslims always protest against such anti-Islamic rules. However, Hindus are lethargic to protest the ban imposed by convent schools against Tilak, Mehendi, and other traditional acts.

Bangalore (Karnataka) – A Government College in Udupi banned the hijab. On 31st December, many girls were denied permission for wearing hijabs to colleges. The college announced that the students would be admitted only after removing the hijab.

The college officials intended to bring equality by banning the hijab. Another professor said that the hijab is banned only in the classrooms but allowed outside.
