Jalabhishek of Shrikrushna to be held at Shrikrushna Janmabhoomi on 6th December cancelled : Hindu Mahasabha

Decision taken due to implementation of Section 144 in Mathura and house arrest of the office bearers of Hindu Mahasabha

• During the period of Muslim attackers, mosques were built on the land of temples by demolishing them. Hindus are trying to get it back legitimately and they are facing Court proceedings also. In fact, why do Hindus need to give a fight like this in Hindu-majority India ? Rulers need to answer it
• Under the garb of Law and Order keeping the devout Hindus under house arrest is in a way repression only. BJP Government in UP is expected to try to give back Hindus their right.

Mathura (UP) – Hindu Mahasabha had announced that jalabhishek of Shrikrushna was to be held in the Idgah Mosque on Shrikrushna Janmabhoomi on 6th December. Hence, the Administration implemented Section 144 to maintain Law and Order. The Office bearers of the Hindu Mahasabha also have been kept under house arrest. Hindu Mahasabha has announced that the Jalabhishek programme has been cancelled. Although this is so, Police security has been beefed up at all sensitive places with high alert. (During Aurangzeb’s reign, Idgah Mosque was built by destroying the temple on Shrikrushna Janmabhoomi. A Court case is going on to acquire it back. Devout Hindus had planned to keep Shrikrushna’s Idol in the Mosque for performing jalabhishek on it. – Editor)

Rajashri Chaudhary, National President of Hindu Mahasabha and great-granddaughter of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, was to attend the jalabhishek programme. She was the one who had announced the event. However, she has been persuaded by administration officials to cancel her proposed programme. Official information has also been given by Hindu Mahasabha in this regard.

Mahesh Pathak, National President of All India Tirtha Purohit Mahasabha, reacted sharply to the tense situation in Mathura. Some people are trying to disturb the environment in Mathura. In such a situation, the general public in Mathura should be vigilant so as not to disturb the peace and cooperate with the District administration, said Pathak.

Meanwhile, the Shrikrushna Janmabhoomi dispute case is pending in the local Court in Mathura. Hindu Mahasabha is a party in this. The next hearing of the case will be held on 15th February.  13.33 acres of land of Shrikrushna Janmabhoomi was purchased by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, former president of All India Hindu Mahasabha.
