Ban on the sale of non-veg food items near religious places, and public roads in Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Ahmedabad (Gujarat) – The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has banned the sale of non-veg food items near religious places and on public roads. Therefore, non-veg food items won’t be sold at schools, colleges, auditoriums, temples, etc. Previously, in Gujarat, the same decision has been taken by the Municipal Corporation at Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Rajkot and Vadodara.

The Government has no issues with the diet of the people ! – Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has explained on the questions raised by the people on the background of the ban on the sale of non-veg food items at public places that the State Government has no issues with the diet of the people. Chief Minister Patel said that action can be taken on the street vendors selling unhygienic food items and causing inconvenience to the traffic. The civil authorities can take necessary decisions.
