New Delhi – 100 years ago, the party’s constitution was written under the presidency of Mohandas Gandhi’s, which is about to change now. Exceptions can be made to the rules of ‘no drinking’ and ‘compulsion to weave khadi’. At the same time, the rules will be tightened on the statements made from public platforms, sources said. A committee will be set up to look into the matter.
At a meeting of Congress office-bearers in October, there was an open discussion on certain matters. About 60 % of office bearers present at the meeting agreed that they couldn’t follow the ‘stay away from alcohol’ rule.
