On 31.10.21, a person named Sajeevan had a few arguments with people near Biju’s shop. It is suspected that Biju was killed because he was taken to be Sanjeevan. After Biju’s murder, BJP had given a call for ‘Bandh’ and accused that the workers of the Popular Front of India and its political party SDPI (Social Democratic Front of India) were involved in the murder. It is also accused that it was an attempt to create communal disharmony in the State through the murder.
