Sudan : Military takes power in a coup
Sudan military rebels and arrests Prime Minister Hamdok along with other leaders
Khartoum (Sudan) – There is a report that Sudan’s Prime Minister (PM) Abdallah Hamdok has been arrested by the military on 25th October. The military force took the PM along with other officials to an unknown location. The reason behind the unauthorised takeover of power through insurrection is unclear. No Government or organisation has stood in support of this news report.

According to Reuters, a global information and news provider, the military forces entered the PM’s residence forcefully and arrested him. The news agency has also reported that the PM is being pressurised to support the present democratic transition by the military forces.
