Srinagar (J&K) – The Jammu and Kashmir administration sacked Anees-ul-Islam, the grandson of separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, from Government service for aiding terrorist activities. The action is taken under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution of India. Government sources informed that Sayed Gilani had perpetrated the violence in a year for recruiting his grandson in Government jobs. In 2016, after his recruitment, the situation calmed.

Before joining the Government job, Anees had travelled to Pakistan. Anees met Colonel Yasir of the Inter-Services Intelligence at his grandfather’s Syed Gilani’s behest. Before being recruited in the Government Jobs, Anees was facilitating the drone take-off, for surveillance videos, about law and order situations and other things, near Srinagar and sending the videos to ISI. Source also claimed that Anees was in contact with three suspected terrorists from UAE and Saudi Arabia.
