Amritsar (Punjab) – Christian missionaries have been luring Sikhs, especially Dalit Sikhs, in the border areas of Punjab for the last few years, brainwashing them and forcibly converting them, claimed Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Akal Takht. (Amritsar`s Akal Takht is one of the 5 Sikh Takhts. The Chief Spokesman of the Sikhs is called Jathedar.) Giani Harpreet Singh is a Dalit Sikh.

Against the increasing conversion of Sikhs, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has decided to launch a campaign. A campaign has been launched to spread Sikhism and distribute information about Dharma to each house. For this, 150 teams have been formed.
