The Central Govt should pass a law for holding in honour, Bhagwan Shriram, Bhagwan Shrikrushna, Shrimadbhagavadgeeta : Allahabad HC
Editorial comments
Why a Court has to instruct the Government ? Why the Government does not realise it on its own ? There is no alternative to declare India as a Hindu Rashtra for getting due honour for Hindu Dharma, Deities, and Holy scriptures, etc. |
Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) – Bhagwan Shriram, Bhagwan Shrikrushna, so also, Ramayan, Shrimadbhagavadgeeta, and their authors Maharshi Valmiki and Maharshi Vyas are an inseparable part of India’s cultural legacy. Allahabad High Court has instructed the Central Government that it should pass a law in this context for giving due honour at the national level to this sacred legacy.

Justice Shekhar Yadav said on the occasion that the derogatory statements made by the accused about the great personalities like Bhagwan Shriram and Bhagwan Shrikrushna have hurt the religious sentiments of the majority of people of this country. Such behaviour creates a threat to the peace and harmony prevailing in this country and its adverse effects are faced by innocent citizens. Besides, if the Courts did not take a strict stand in such cases, these people would become bolder which will affect the cordiality in this country.
Justice Shekhar Yadav said further that the Constitution of this country is a sovereign and independent Code. Every citizen has the freedom to have faith or not have faith in God as per the Constitution; however, those, who do not believe in God, have no right to draw and publish objectionable pictures of God.
