This incident is said to have happened on 30th August. The Chinese troops had fled till the Indian troops got the information. After crossing Tun Jun La pass, 55 to 100 Chinese soldiers had penetrated more than 5 km into the Indian border. The troops were there for approximately 3 hours. This is a non-military area, so the Chinese troops were able to enter. The Indo-Tibetan Border Police were informed about it. By the time the Indian troops arrived, the Chinese troops had returned after destruction.

Chinese troops had earlier infiltrated the Barahoti area. In 1954, the first incursion by Chinese troops into India was made here and then they tried to gain control over other parts. In September 2018, it was reported that such intrusions were made 3 times. (We must admit that not deploying troops in the area despite such infiltration in the past is suicidal. At least now, people should know whether they will deploy the Army here or not. – Editor)
