Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – ‘The growing number of Taliban supporters in Kerala is a matter of concern. The Taliban is being denounced all over the world, including the Muslim community, according to an internal document of the Communist Party of India (Marxist)’, reported ‘Aaj Tak’.
The document claims that educated women are being lured into the trap of Taliban ideology. Also, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind is working to provoke the religious sentiments of the people. For this, the organisation is using social media. Its purpose is to establish an Islamic nation.

The document further reads that efforts are being made to spread the idea to other communities, along with Muslims. Attempts are being made to incite Christians against Muslims.
CPI(M) executive committee member MA Baby said, ‘It is true that our party’s document calls for caution against religious and fundamentalist forces’. The religious sentiments of the minorities are intensifying due to the activities of the RSS. Due to the activities of the RSS, a section of the minority community would also be attracted towards retaliating in the same manner and will imitate the RSS’. (It is because of the fanaticism inherent in the religious fanatics, they were and still are carrying out jihadi activities and not because of the RSS. This has been happening even before the inception of RSS and the BJP; however, the communists are trying to come up with such anti-Hindu arguments to support fanatics ! – Editor) We should keep in mind that India has a larger Muslim population than any other Islamic country. (Communists are trying to intimidate Hindus by saying this. Communists should remember that Hindus have a history of defeating Mughals and teaching jihadists a lesson ! – Editor)

Mohammad Saleem Engineer, National Vice-President of Jamaat, said that misconceptions were being spread about Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. He said, ‘Attempts to create a false perception about Jamaat-e-Islami Hind are being made due to political compulsion or to harness political benefits. We aim to fight against religious and divisive people’.
JIH Secretary Syed Tanveer Ahmed also tried to trivialise the danger of growing pro-Taliban sentiments in Kerala. He said, ‘This kind of narrative helps to aggravate the Hindu-Muslim divide, resulting in political mileage for certain political parties’.
