New Delhi – ‘We are constantly monitoring the Taliban’s accounts. They will be prosecuted if they cross the limits’, Twitter said. (Do terrorists have any of the limits ? Twitter has expressed its love for the Taliban by making such a statement. – Editor) While avoiding suspension of the Taliban accounts, Twitter has suspended all accounts associated with caretaker President Amrullah Saleh of Afghanistan, who has been mobilising Afghan forces against the Taliban. Saleh is currently lodged in the Panjshir province that has not yet fallen into the hands of the Taliban.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, who is actively updating his account with the latest updates, has over 300,000 followers. Spokesperson Suhail Shaheen also has over 300,000 followers, while Qari Yousaf Ahmadi has around 60,000 followers on Twitter.
Facebook and YouTube have swiftly started banning accounts associated with the Taliban and its followers citing the organisation as a ‘terrorist organisation’.
