Islamabad (Pakistan) – Pakistan has complained about multiple defects in the Chinese designed JF-17 Thunder aircraft. These have become a headache for Pakistan Air Force because the J-17s are plagued with cracks in the engine, poor serviceability, high maintenance and deteriorating performance.

There was a procurement contract signed by Pakistan with China in 1999. These aircraft are combat jets comparable to Su-30 MK, Mig-29 and Mirage-2000. China had made many boastful claims during the contract. However, in reality, Pakistan is finding only defects. Pakistan has complained about these defects to China, but China has turned a deaf ear.
