Srikakulam (Andhra Pradesh) – The Idols of Shri Ganesh and Shri Saraswati Devi of Padmanabha Swamy Temple near Karakavalasa Village of Srikakulam District were found vandalised by unknown miscreants. The Temple is located on a hilltop and only the Priest visits it for performing the daily Puja. He reported the incident a few days ago. As no theft was reported, vandalism seemed to be the only intention.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Mahendra said that in January, the temple committee was asked to install CCTV cameras; but they were not installed. (Vandalism cannot be stopped by installing CCTV cameras. It can be stopped by Police protection. Realise that the Police is shunning its duty – Editor)
