Mumbai – A gambling App ‘Rummy Ganesh Pro’ was opposed by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Hindus; therefore, it has since been removed from ‘Google Play Store’. This app was named after Hindus’ Deity Shri Ganesh; therefore, it was opposed. Devout Hindus brought this matter to the notice of HJS and it promptly took action by lawfully opposing the name. Google was also approached through ‘tweets’ for the removal of this app. Devout Hindu activists had started a trend against this app as #BanRummyGaneshProApp. It was later observed that the app was removed from the Play store.
Dear @GooglePlay, we appeal you to ask developer of RummyGanesh Pro app to change its name and logo, that contains name of holy Hindu god Shri Ganesh. If they are not doing so, then please remove this app from your platform.
