They vandalised even the Idols of Shri Ganesh, Deity Shiva and Parvatidevi; besides breaking chandeliers and other decorative pieces made of glass. A video of this incident has become viral on social media wherein a large number of fanatics are seen. No action has been taken against anyone so far, but Police are keeping vigil near the temple. Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s office has taken note of this incident and issued orders to take action against the guilty involved in the vandalism. Dr. Khurram Shahzad, Dy. Commissioner paid a visit and inspected the site.
The indifference of the Police !
The Police were indifferent towards local Hindus when they tried to lodge a complaint; therefore, Hindus directly approached the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and demanded action against the accused, stated Dr. Ramesh Vankwani, the President of ‘Hindu Parishad’ in Pakistan.
