Seekers should increase their output by using every moment for spiritual practice and progress quickly
Due to Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale’s grace, all seekers have the invaluable opportunity to get liberated from the cycles of birth and death by performing spiritual practice in the present adverse times. With the goal of getting emancipated through spiritual progress, every seeker should introspect whether every moment is being spent for vyashti and samashti sadhana or not. Time is precious and once lost, it cannot be recovered. Hence, seekers are expected to strive to perform spiritual practice without wasting a single moment.
1. Do not waste time on social media unnecessarily
Some seekers waste the valuable time of spiritual practice on social media such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Telegram, Instagram, etc.
On WhatsApp, seekers are in various groups such as family group, school-college friends’ group, office colleagues’ group, housing society members’ group, etc. In such groups, time is spent on seeing if there is any message. Some seekers waste their time and of others by sending ‘Good Morning’, ‘Good Night’ messages, greetings, on humour, watching videos posted, etc. on such groups.
Similarly seekers also waste a lot of time on other social media. Keep the following perspectives in mind to avoid causing harm to spiritual practice by using social media unnecessarily.
A. Since seekers spend time on watching unnecessary messages and videos, as well as status’, their extroversion increases. Spiritual practice is wasted when thoughts of Maya increase and are not necessary for spiritual practice. A seeker who sends messages wastes his time as well as that of other seekers, thus harming his own spiritual practice. The one who reads the message is also harmed when he wastes precious time of his spiritual practice.
B. Seekers are expected to reduce the sanskars on their mind by progressing spiritually. Watching or reading jokes, entertainment, news, etc. on social media imprints new sanskars on seekers.
C. Some seekers also spend some hours at night reading unnecessary messages on social media or watching videos which waste their spiritual practice. While reading such messages at night till they fall asleep has an adverse effect on their mind and creates a covering of negative energies. This affects their seva throughout the day.
D. Inappropriate and excess use of social media is a form of addiction. In fact, constant use of mobiles leads to physical ailments such as headaches, neck pain, eye ailments, etc., as well as many mental disorders. Constant use of social media reduces output too.
2. Make efforts to exces overuse of social media
Seekers should make efforts to avoid excess of social media. Seekers should make efforts to get out of all unnecessary groups, not watch unnecessary messages and videos, not exchange any such messages. However, seekers can use social media to complement their samashti sadhana, and take autosuggestions to avoid unnecessary use of such media and/or take atonement as required.
3. Do not waste time watching
programmes on television or YouTube
During the coronavirus pandemic, some seekers have been found wasting time as if they are holidaying. Some seekers spend a lot of time watching TV, as well as various programmes, series, spiritual discourses, etc. on YouTube. Some seekers spend time on making new recipes after watching them on YouTube.
In fact, seekers are expected to increase the quantity, quality and pace of their spiritual practice when the severity of the adverse times is increasing. Seekers should not waste time in this way when the need is to perform spiritual practice to survive during the adverse times.
4. Attempts required for
using every moment for spiritual practice
A. Considering the importance of performing effective spiritual practice in the present adverse times, seekers everywhere should fix their 24-hour daily routine keeping in mind their ability, nature, family responsibilities, etc.
B. Mention in your daily routine the time required for personal activities, vyashti sadhana and satseva as expected by God and show it to the responsible seeker.
C. Seekers should write their daily diary honestly to ensure that activities are being conducted as per their planning.
Do Atmanivedan (Conversation with God through the emotion of surrender) unto God’s Holy feet, and give review of your efforts to your responsible seeker.
5. Give time for spiritual practice taking into account the severity of the adverse times
O’ seekers ! The severe adverse time has begun, and Saints & Seers have said – The whole world is on the brink of World War 3.
Realising that it will be increasingly difficult to perform spiritual practice in the coming adverse times, make efforts with yearning to ensure that every moment of your waking state is used for spiritual practice.
Rest assured that if the output of your spiritual practice increases in these adverse times, spiritual progress will take place and at a faster pace.
