Dalits converting to Christianity due to being denied respect : Telangana CM

  • Dalits are not converting to Christianity due to being denied respect, but the Christian missionaries are converting them by giving false promises and after conversion, leaving them without any support. This situation has arisen because till now, none of the Government has not stopped the Christian missionaries. Why dosen’t Rao talk about this ?
  • 74 years after independence, the Government officials of all parties have have used the caste system for political gains. This is why the Dalits have not got the respect. Had the leaders worked honestly, today, there would be no need to talk about it.
  • Hindu Dharma does not have any caste system. It has only Class system, which gives due to respects to everyone. Due to the lack of education on Dharma, Hindus got entangled in the caste system. It is disgraceful for all political parties.

Hyderabad (Telangana) – ‘If Dalits are converting to Christianity, it is our fault that we are unable to protect them. When they convert to Christianity, they are being respected. They do not receive that respect as Dalits. (Why dosen’t Rao mention that the respect given to them during conversion is fake, but they are looked down upon after the conversion. Also, dalits have a separate church and the higher order Christians do not mingle with them – Editor) I am a Hindu and I feel bad when I see that Dalits are still suffering due to poverty,’ said Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao at a function at Kamareddy.

Rao also said, ‘every individual from our country should come forward and help the poor and Dalits and make efforts to get them out of poverty’.
