Microsoft named Indian-origin Satya Nadella as Chairman

New Delhi – Indian-origin Satya Nadella was named as Chairman of the world’s largest software manufacturing company ‘Microsoft Corp’. Nadella 53, was appointed as CEO of Microsoft in 2014. The company flourished under Nadella’s leadership and its shares have soared more than sevenfold.

Satya Nadella was born in Hyderabad, he completed his primary education there. He did his Bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology. Later, he travelled to the USA to study for M.S. in computer science at the University of Wisconsin. Later, he received his MBA from Chicago. He joined Microsoft Corp. in 1992.
