Baba Ramdev has the freedom of speech to express his views – Delhi High Court
A case of criticism of allopathy
Advised to refrain from making any further comments on the new system of treatment
New Delhi – Baba Ramdev’s comments were under the ambit of Freedom of Speech and Expression saying this the Delhi HC refused to refrain Baba Ramdev from making any statement on the allopathic system of treatment or from promoting Coronil. The Delhi High Court was hearing a plea filed by Delhi Medical Association. The next hearing is due on 13th of July.

Baba Ramdev is publicising false information about Patanjali’s Coronil kit as a cure for Covid-19. DMA’s plea claimed that Baba Ramdev was condemning the allopathic system of medicines. Delhi HC issuing a summons to Baba Ramdev advised him to refrain from making any further comments on the new system of treatment. But the court will not stop Baba Ramdev from making any comments.

The HC said that instead of filing a suit the DMA should have filed a PIL. The Court further said, “Tomorrow I may feel homoeopathy is fake. Do you mean they will file a suit against me ? Ramdev may be right or wrong. But I do not think your allopathic profession is so fragile”.
