70-year-old priest of Shri Hanuman temple hacked to death in Barabanki

When a devout Hindu like Yogi Adityanath is in power in Uttar Pradesh, Hindus do not expect that Sages, Saints, Mahants and Priests will be killed. The Government is expected to take stringent measures to protect them.
Barabanki (Uttar Pradesh) – A priest, Suresh Chandra Chauhan, aged 70, of Shree Hanuman temple in Khamauli village of Inayatnagar was murdered with a sharp weapon in the temple premises.
When people went to the Hanuman temple in the morning for darshan, they found the priest in a pool of blood. They immediately informed the Police. The Police have sent the body for post-mortem and the matter is being investigated. The villagers told the Police that the priest had gone to Niyamatpur and returned at night around 8 p.m., worshipped Shri Hanuman and went to sleep.

Police suspect that the priest was hit on his head while he was sleeping. Police inspected the area around the scene and found liquor bottles and 3 glasses outside the temple premises, which they have confiscated. Based on this, the Police suspect that there were three persons.

Superintendent of Police Yamuna Prasad said, ‘We are investigating the matter. Three teams have been formed to investigate and the accused will be arrested soon’.
