1. Limitations on cremation abroad
An article has been published on the SSRF website detailing the benefits of cremation and the disadvantages of burial. The perspective of writing the article was that society should know about the science of post-death rituals. The article contained a reference to the science underlying each post-death ritual according to Hindu Scriptures; for example, recitation of mantras, some related rituals, pyre, etc. After reading this article, a seeker abroad brought it to our notice that if a person decides to be cremated after his death abroad, his relatives have to perform about the ritual at the cemetery there. This ritual is not like the last rites performed in India or they are not even aware that mantras are beneficial in providing further momentum to the jiva (Embodied soul) after death.
2. Suggestion to make the mantra of last rites available on the website to help people abroad
One day, I broached the above subject with Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale. At that time, to facilitate the onward journey of a the soul after death from the spiritual perspective, He said, “How can we help the subtle-bodies of the deceased who are cremated in the cemetery, so that the mantras chanted at the time of post-death rituals benefit the subtle-bodies ?”
He then suggested uploading various mantras on the SSRF website so that these are available to foreigners and will help those who want to perform the last rites in a cemetery to obtain spiritual benefits from these mantras. “Since mantras are a gift of Hindu Dharma, no one has any exclusive right over them. It is our responsibility to make them available to all”, He added.
3. Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale assisting millions of subtle-bodies even in their journey after death
While Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale was talking, my bhav (Spiritual emotion) was getting awakened. I could feel His Priti towards the entire human race. Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale is constantly thinking about the people all over the world, that they should obtain knowledge on Spirituality in their personal lives to overcome the difficulties caused by spiritual distress. I had just narrated this information to Him, and He immediately analysed it at the spiritual level and devised solutions at the spiritual level to assist millions of people at the time of their death.
In developed countries such as the United States of America and Canada, 40-45% people are now going in for cremation. As a result, thousands of subtle-bodies will benefit from these mantras for their journey after death. While Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale was saying all this, I felt that He already made a resolve for everyone, and those who perform these rituals while chanting mantras after the death of their loved ones, will definitely benefit from it. I realised that only Paratpar Gurus such as Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale, who can help millions of subtle bodies on their spiritual journey even after their death, could say so. Later, I went back to perform my seva (Spirtual service) with a heart full of gratitude for Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale.

I would prefer to live for the establishment of the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ ! : Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale
My vital energy has been low for the past 7 years. Sometimes I cannot even sit. Today, a thought arose – if God asks me,‘Do you want a healthy life or want to complete the mission of establishing ‘Hindu Rashtra’ ? – my answer will be the second one. Later, I realised why I thought of such a reply. Sometime or the other, the body has to be renounced. Hence, there is no point in asking for life. Life is the means and mission is the goal. I thought of the goal only. If life was to be extended, I would have just felt a little better. However, mankind will be happy when the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ is established. – Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale |
