Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj’s answer through the Maharshi on how should Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale be addressed instead of ‘Doctor’ ?

Saints or Gurus have nicknames that are respectfully abbreviated. Saints are given various titles and names of respect according to the practice in their sect. We used to call H.H. Doctor simply ‘Doctor’. On 20.9.1992, I asked H.H. Baba (Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj), “How should Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale be addressed instead of as Doctor ?’’ He replied, “Call Him ‘Doctor’ as of now. I will tell you when the time is ripe”. When I felt that the time was ripe, H.H. Baba told Maharshi and revealed the true nature. Maharshi said, “He (Doctor) is an Incarnation of Shri Vishnu. He is actually the form of Shri Vishnu Shrimannarayan – Shri Shri Jayant Balaji Athavale. He is an Incarnation of ‘Jayant’. He is Mokshaguru Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale”.
