The US declares emergency
Washington (US) – The US administration has declared an emergency after the cyber attack on its largest pipeline in the country. Colonel Pipeline Company which was attacked by the hackers supplies 2.5 million barrels of crude oil. Petrol, diesel and gases are supplied through this pipeline in the States located along the east coast of the US. The company has disconnected these lines after the attack. This attack may lead to 2 to 3 % hike in the international oil prices.

Hacker group ‘DarkSide’ is the top suspect behind this attack. The hackers have stolen 100 GB data by hacking the network of the Colonial Pipeline Company and have demanded huge ransom to unscramble it. They have also threatened to leak the data on the internet if their demand is not fulfilled.
