A Bihar Policeman lynched by a mob during a Police raid in Bengal
The law and order in Bengal has already gone to the dogs, which is a matter of shame for all the political parties. A Police officer was killed in Bengal due to the negligence of the political parties and the failure of the Central Government to impose President Rule.
New Delhi – Ashwini Kumar, a Police station in-charge of Kishanganj Police station in Bihar along with his team had gone to conduct raids in Bengal area to arrest an accused in a theft case. The incident happened in Pantapada village in the Goalpokhar Police station area of Dinajpur District where to save the accused, the mob attacked the Police team. While the other Policemen managed to escape, Ashwini Kumar fell in the mob’s hands and was brutally trashed and strangled to death. An investigation has been ordered in the case.
1. The Director General of Bihar Police said that the matter has been taken up with the Director General of Bengal Police. He expressed grief and assured to assist the family of the martyred Police officer.
