Wrong information about Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb providing grants for temple repairs in NCERT textbooks!

Legal notice issued to NCERT Director and Education Ministry

Action should be taken against those people in the NCERT who are responsible for the glorification of Islamic attackers, and those who are trying to create goodwill for the Islamic invaders in the minds of students!

Jaipur (Rajasthan) – 12th Standard NCERT textbooks contain information that Islamic rulers like Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb had given orders to repair those Hindu temples which were destroyed during the wars and that they had also provided financial grants for the same. An RTI enquiry revealed that the NCERT has no historical records to back the claims. A petition was then filed before a lower court in Jaipur seeking the removal of the misleading material. The Court has issued a notice to the NCERT Director and Education Ministry directing them to provide a reply/response to this by 19th April.
