Pakistan agrees to resume trade with India

Will import cotton and, sugar from India

Pakistan took this decision only after its condition got extremely pathetic after breaking ties with India.  At this stage, it would be wise for India to pressurise Pakistan to accept India’s demands.

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Government of Pakistan has agreed to resume trade with India. After India revoked the special status given to Jammu and Kashmir in August 2019, Pakistan had suspended trade ties with India.

Pakistan’s cabinet committee on economic affairs has submitted a report with recommendations to restart cotton and sugar trade with India. After this report Pakistan is now officially going to import these items from India. Pakistani media has said that a decision will be taken soon. India is the world’s largest cotton producer and the second largest producer of sugar in the world. Importing sugar will help Pakistan reduce sugar prices before Ramzan.
