PIL seeks deletion of Quranic verses that promote terrorism

Religious fanatics demand excommunication of Waseem Rizvi

• Self-styled Indian anti-superstition organisations such as Maharashtra Andha-shraddha Nirmulan Samiti always claim that they need to first ‘clean up’ Hindu religious beliefs before moving on to other religions. Why is it difficult for them to come out in support of Rizvi, and say that he is doing something similar ?
• The progressives and pseudo-secular organisations immediately rush to denounce the casteist social boycotts, but they and the Indian media are silent about these kinds of incidents.
• Such a social boycott is a crime under the Constitution of India. Will the Government show some spine and act against those who are targeting Rizvi ?

New Delhi – Former Shia Waqf Board Chairperson Syed Waseem Rizvi filed a PIL in the Supreme Court seeking removal of 26 verses of the Quran encouraging jihadi terrorism, after which a fatwa was issued for beheading Waseem Rizvi. Now, there is a demand to excommunicate him from Islam. Due to Rizvi’s PIL, his wife, children, brother and other relatives have deserted him. At the same time, his ‘hayat grave’ (Place reserved for the grave before death) at Lucknow has been demolished.

The Ulema have demanded that the central and state government arrest Waseem Rizvi.

Will fight till the last breath : Waseem Rizvi

Waseem Rizvi has given his opinion on the issue through a video. Within the video assertion, he says, “My spouse, youngsters, brother and kinfolk have ditched me. Even after this social boycott, I will not back away from this fight. I don’t care. I’m on the correct path and can battle this until my final breath. If my defeat is certain, I will choose to commit suicide”.
