PIL seeks deletion of Quranic verses that promote terrorism

New Delhi – Former Shia Waqf Board Chairperson Syed Waseem Rizvi filed a PIL in the Supreme Court seeking removal of 26 verses of the Quran encouraging jihadi terrorism, after which a fatwa was issued for beheading Waseem Rizvi. Now, there is a demand to excommunicate him from Islam. Due to Rizvi’s PIL, his wife, children, brother and other relatives have deserted him. At the same time, his ‘hayat grave’ (Place reserved for the grave before death) at Lucknow has been demolished.
The Ulema have demanded that the central and state government arrest Waseem Rizvi.

Will fight till the last breath : Waseem Rizvi
Waseem Rizvi has given his opinion on the issue through a video. Within the video assertion, he says, “My spouse, youngsters, brother and kinfolk have ditched me. Even after this social boycott, I will not back away from this fight. I don’t care. I’m on the correct path and can battle this until my final breath. If my defeat is certain, I will choose to commit suicide”.
Waseem Rizvi has tweeted and said that, “Fatwas for beheading me are being passed all over the country. I stand for humanity, what wrong have I done ? Will you Indians stand by me ?”
