As a precautionary measure against the current Coronavirus pandemic, everyone should avoid unnecessary travel. If travel for some essential work or attending an event is necessary, take the following precautions.
1. Precautions while travelling in a vehicle
A. Travel in your own vehicle or another vehicle with the least number of people.
B. Avoid travelling by an air-conditioned bus or train. Avoid using air conditioning in your own vehicle too.
C. When travelling by train or bus, if you feel that you are near a person who has symptoms of cold, cough or fever, you should stay away at least 1 meter (Social distance) or if possible, take another mode of travel such as an alternative bus.
D. Wear a face mask or a clean handkerchief while travelling through crowds.
E. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap before you touch your face.
F. Use soap or sanitizer (if possible) to clean your hands intermittently while travelling.
2. Care with regard to clothing used during travel
A. This virus can survive for 12 hours on clothing (used in travel). Therefore, when you reach home from a trip, you should go straight to the bathroom without moving in the house wearing those clothes.
B. Wash your hands, feet and face with soap and water after taking off these clothes.
C. Wear regular clothes in the house and avoid touching the clothes used in travel.
D. If clothes used in travel are need to be used again without washing them, they should be kept separate on a hanger in such a way that they do not touch other objects or washed clothes.
E. If possible, keep these clothes in sunlight.
F. By chance if you to touch clothing used during travel, wash your hands immediately.
G. If you need to wash clothes used in travel, wash them as usual and dry them in the sun if possible.
