Rise in attacks on people of Chinese descent in the U.S. during pandemic!

President Joe Biden orders to stop the violence

• Indians are more tolerant than the Americans. That is why nothing of that sort took place in India, be it Covid-19 or after the Galwan clash!
• No American organisation or political organisation will ever talk about such racial targetting. They are only concerned about the rise in so-called intolerance in India!

New York (U.S.) – Racially motivated attacks against people of Chinese descent and Pacific islandersare on the rise in the USA since the pandemic began. Taking a serious note of the issue, the White House has passed executive orders to contain the xenophobic violence.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said, ‘He has been outspoken and making clear that attacks — verbal attacks, any attacks of any form — are unacceptable and we need to work together to address them’. The White House has also directed the Department of Health and Human Services to avoid using language that could be offensive to the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community as well.

The rally was held to protest a wave of attacks on Asian Americans, including a large number of elderly people. The stabbing of a 36-year-old man on Thursday is the latest reported incident in NYC. Similar incidents are being reported across the US https://t.co/YDqrapTAVW

Former President Donald Trump had held China responsible for the pandemic. According to experts, Trump’s statements triggered the rise in hate crimes. New York alone witnessed 29 hate crimes. More than 3,000 xenophobic cases  were reported between March and December 2020, during to the pandemic. Concerned Americans had even rallied around in support of the AAPI community.
