A naval person kidnapped from Chennai and burnt alive at Palghar
Culprits absconding.
The Government should track down the persons responsible for this and should hang them.
Thane (Maharashtra) – Surajkumar Mithilesh Dube, working in the Indian Navy, was kidnapped from Chennai Airport by three unknown persons. These kidnappers held him captive at an unknown place for three days and demanded a ransom of 10,00,000 rupees. He refused to pay the ransom and was shifted by car to a forest near Vevji village in Talasari near Maharashtra – Gujarat border. At about 9 a.m., the culprits threatened him with a gun, doused him with petrol, and set him on fire. The local villagers informed Gholwad Police, who admitted Dube to Agar Sub-District hospital. He was moved to Mumbai for further treatment. He succumbed to injuries during the treatment. Gholvad Police filed a complaint against three unknown kidnappers and the investigation is going on.
