WHO lauds Indian efforts in driving down Covid-19 cases
Washington DC / New Delhi – Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director-General of World Health Organization has lauded India’s efforts in driving down Covid-19 cases. He said ‘India is highly successful in controlling Covid-19. This illustrates that if we observe simple public health solutions, we can beat the virus. Vaccines will enhance the results. Even now, India registers new Covid-19 positive patients but the number of patients under treatment is reducing. It is merely 1.4%. One hundred forty million and ninety-six thousand patients recovered from Covid-19 and which is 97.96%. The death toll due to Covid-19 has reduced to 1.43%.
