#IndiaWants_BlasphemyLaw trends as Hindus demand law against blasphemous material insulting Hindu Dharma
Mumbai – For the past few years, it has become a trend to mock Hindu beliefs, denigrate Hindus Deities and demean Hindu Saints. One comes across such blasphemous material in plays, films, comedy shows, articles, books and even advertisements.
In many instances, one sees extremely derogatory language being used against Dharma and Gods. While the Hindu society does protest against such denigration, lack of legal provisions allow the offenders to go scot-free.
Hindus took to Twitter to demand an anti-blasphemy law and its immediate implementation against the offenders who demean, insult and mock Hindu Dharma, Deities, Ascetics, Saints. Hashtag #IndiaWants_BlasphemyLaw was used in more than 35,000 tweets and it became one of the top 10 national trends in India. It was on 2nd spot for few hours.

Protest against anti-National and anti-Dharma incidents with restraint !
The main objective in protesting against anti-Hindu elements is to bring about an ideological change in them. Therefore, any protest should be at the ideological level on the strength of relevant theoretical points. Here, the expansive perspective should be to bring the erring individual onto the right path by pointing out his mistake.
