Hindu idols vandalised by unknown miscreants in Odisha

Rayagada (Orissa) – Idols of Sri Saraswati Devi, Sri Lakshmi Devi and Sri Vrundavati Devi in Bhagvan Rameshwar Temple near here were vandalised by miscreants. This temple is located in Hukumatla village of Orissa’s Rayagada district which is adjacent to the state of Andhra Pradesh. The incident came to light when the temple priest came to the temple in the morning. The temple management has reported that even gold ornaments of the temple were stolen. The police are investigating this incident. It is believed that Christian missionaries are in plenty in this region. Hence it is claimed that they may have played a role in this vandalism.
