Protests in support of farmers in the United States also
Washington (USA) – There have been protests in the United States in support of the the farmers’ movement. The Sikh community has participated in a large number in this protest. The protest took place at the Indian Consulate in San Francisco. The protests took place in various parts of California. There were also protests in Indianapolis. In Chicago, members of the Sikh-American community took out a rally and marched to the Indian Embassy. ‘The agriculture sector in India will now open up agriculture to the private sector. Large corporate houses will benefit’ claimed the protesters. They have also claimed that this law will cause great loss to the farmers.
