Assam government to enact the law to curb ‘love jihad’! – Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma
* Hindus expect that the BJP Government at the Center should make an anti-love jihad law for the entire country instead of every state making such a law separately
* The Government should not stop at just enacting anti-jihad law, but if Hindu women and young girls are made sattvic by imparting education on Dharma and inculcating spiritual practice on them, then they will not fall prey to the conspiracy of love jihad. |
Guwahati (Assam) – An anti-love jihad law is being drafted in Assam. Under this, couples who get married will have to provide information about their religion and income along with documents one month before the marriage to the Government.
State Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the law would be enacted with the aim of empowering women. This law will not be similar to the anti-love jihad laws enacted in the States of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh but there will be some similarities. This will be an inclusive law for all religions.
