New Delhi – A Muslim organisation Sufi Islamic Board has appealed to impose a ban on the jihadi organisation PFI. Board’s National President Mansoor Khan and National Spokesperson Sufi Mohammed Kausar Hassan Majidi have written to PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah demanding to place a nationwide ban on PFI. They have also warned to agitate if the Centre fails to ban the organisation.
- Board’s National General Secretary Shah Sayyid Hasnain Bakai has alleged PFI of misleading the Muslim youths through its political wing Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI). He also claimed that the youths are being recruited to carry out anti-national activities under the pretext of jihad by luring them with 72 angels. This outfit is the factory for producing terrorists and have links with ISIS, he added.
- Board’s President Mansoor Khan said that the people associated with PFI continue to attend meetings of al-Qaeda affiliated organisations. PFI’s name has surfaced in running training camps, kidnappings, killing for extortion, killing of RSS and CPI (M) associates, Bengaluru riots, etc. Through its secret policies, PFI is desiring to spread Turkey’s separatist propaganda. PFI had then congratulated Turkish President Erdogan in 2016 after he seized the power with rebellion. The Police investigating the Karnataka riot case have raided 48 places, in which, a large number of arms have been seized from SDPI’s office. PFI has links with IHH, an organisation in Turkey supporting Al Qaeda. With funds amounting to Rs. 120 Cr from its 73 bank accounts, PFI is expending money to carry out anti-national activities.
- All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council’s General Secretary Sayyad Fareed Ahmed Nizami has written to Delhi’s Dy. Governor Anil Baijal clarifying his organisation’s connection with PFI after the alleged links had surfaced. Nizami said that the likes of PFI must be investigated and such organisations should reveal their purpose on their own. Action must be taken against the organisations which use religion to promote fundamentalism.
