Ban on the use and the sale of firecrackers in Bengal ! – Calcutta High Court

  • Why the Court has to pass such orders ? Is the Government unaware of the importance of the matter ? Or does the Government intend not to disrupt the vote bank without regard for the health of people ?
  • Considering the economic crisis all over the country, firecrackers should be banned not only at the time of Diwali but on a permanent basis and stop the waste of millions of rupees through that.

Calcutta (Bengal) – On the backdrop of coronavirus pandemic, Calcutta High Court has ordered a ban on the sale and use of firecrackers during Shri Mahakali Puja, Chhatpuja, Guru Nanak Birthanniversary and Diwali. Instead, the Court remarked that it would be enough to light oil lamps or candles during these festivities for the well being of people and in the wide public interest. (Please note that according to spiritual science Ghee or oil lamps are more beneficial than candles ! – Editor)
