With the Assembly elections around the corner, Mamata announces free housing and salary to all Brahman priests
Political leaders ignore public welfare while they are in power. But when elections are near, they lure the people with promises they have no intention to honour. This is the only opportunity for people to treat these politicians accordingly.
If the patron of minorities, Mamata, was so sympathetic towards Brahmans, why did she not help them so far ? BJP poses a major challenge to Mamata in Bengal. The intention of Mamata is that Brahman voters should not vote for the BJP. It would be foolish to assume that people do not understand her tactics.
Kolkata – The Assembly elections are due shortly. Mamata Banerjee has announced a free house and Rs. 1,000 assistance per month to each Brahman priest. There are over 8,000 Brahman priests in Bengal. This is an attempt to lure Brahman voters and is a part of Mamata’s tactics.
On ‘National Hindi Day’, Mamata said, “We respect all languages”. She said that the Bengal Government will form a ‘Hindi Academy’ and ‘Dalit Sahitya Academy’.
